Terms and Conditions

1. You will be booking a trip with Nepal Himal Treks and Tours (Office of Company Registrar number: 372972/82/83).

2. Prices are quoted per person and are inclusive of government taxes and permit costs.

3. A booking is only confirmed when you have successfully paid a deposit of 20% of the trek cost. The deposit will be used to help secure hotel rooms, permits, domestic flights and other costs incurred during your trip.

4. Pay your deposit at least 4 weeks before the agreed start date of your trip.

5. You will be paying your 20% deposit to our Singapore-based partner Flying Lama Consultancy (UEN: 53507003M) through a wire or bank transfer. The transfer fee will be borne by you.

6. Inform Nepal Himal of the transfer and provide us with a reference number. When the funds have been successfully deposited, we will send you an email confirming your booking.

7. The remaining amount owed to Nepal Himal will be paid on your arrival in Nepal and before the trek or tour starts. The funds are to be paid in cash in any major currencies including the U.S. dollar, euro, pound sterling, Swiss franc, Australian dollar, Canadian dollar, Singapore dollar, Japanese yen, Chinese renminbi, Saudi Arabian riyal, Thai baht, UAE dirham, Malaysia ringgit, South Korean won, Swedish kroner, Danish kroner, Hong Kong dollar, Kuwait dinar, Bahrain dinar and Omani rial.

8. Before your arrival, Nepal Himal will ask you for the full names of the members of your travelling party and other personal details to secure permits. Nepal Himal will also ask you for digital copies of passports. Your personal information is strictly confidential and will never be shared with third parties.

9. If you need to delay or temporarily suspend your trip, we can postpone it to a later date within a two-year period. The deposit that you have put down will be used towards the rescheduled trip.

10. If you need to cancel your trip entirely, please inform us in advance. The deposit that you have paid is non-refundable. But it is transferrable, so you may want to consider delaying your trip instead.

11. Once the trek has started and if you wish to terminate the trip, there will be no refund.

12. Nepal Himal reserves the right to modify or cancel bookings due to unforeseen circumstances including bad weather, natural disasters, pandemics and political instability. If we decide to cancel the trip before or after your arrival, we will assist you in making a claim with your travel insurance provider. We can also reschedule the trip.

13. You are undertaking this trip with Nepal Himal at your own risk. The company will not be liable for injuries, losses or damage arising from trekking, travel or related activities.

14. You are responsible for purchasing your own travel insurance, and responsible for ensuring that the insurance coverage is sufficient. The insurance plan should cover items including outdoor activities at up to 5,500 metres in elevation, evacuation by helicopter, hospitalisation, and emergency repatriation.
